Mahatma Gandhi is father of nation but more than this identity, he was a personality who gave us the tools of non violence and sacrifice : "The Satyagrah".
We all know that Satyagrah is a tool to become inclined ourselves towards spiritualism, towards purity of soul and towards self control. But nowadays everybody can see that how some selfish people are misusing the name of Gandhi and his tool of Satyagrah.
We all already know that how the same Gujrat, the birth place of Mahatma Gandhi, has become witnessed of violence and politics of hate. Some people destroyed the Gandhian values, integrity and harmony of society. Now the same people are trying to market their fast on the name of Satyagrah. This is absolutely objectionable because it is totally against with the concept and objective of Gandhian Satyagrah.
The recent drama of Modi's fast show that politicians are ready to sell the values, only to make their personal benefits. This was not the time when there was any issue to observe the fast. Fast on the name of harmony by Modi Ji itself becomes a joke. Reality of Gujrat is known to everyone. Mere cleanchit by court in lack of sufficient proof never mean that riots victims will forgive the accused persons. Why there were no fast observed after the riots?
At the time when on one side Gujrat is so glad over its economical development, on the other side, there is still a Gujrat who lives in fear, who become afraid to show its identity, who is deprived. There is still a Gujrat, who does not have sufficient measures of its security. There are still wounds on this Gujrat, which is like a black spot and no one tried to apply any cream on these wounds
.
Development has itself a plural term in view of its meanings. There are lot of factors of development. it may be economical, social, spiritual, mental etc. You cannot relate the development only with economy. The real development is mixture of all these with more focused on human development. The development of love and peace.Economical development has become useless automatically if it comes through violence. There is no meaning of such development if its masters worked on social disintegration and hate. It is really shameful for all of us that the land of Gandhi has become full of quacks.
On one side when we see that the tools of non violence and hunger protest have been used in this world as a tool of democratic protests, we immediately think about Nelson Mandela and Martin Luthur King who adopted and applied the path of Gandhian values and made change.
We all who are followers of Gandhi regardless of region and religion, request everyone to stop the misuse of Satyagrah on the name of Gandhi. Though all are free to go on fast or stike, but they should first understand the real Satyagrah, its eligibility and objective.
Please don't politicize the Gandhian Satyagrah.
