The recent blast at gate no. 5 of Delhi High Court has once again raised questions about the security of the people living in India. It has not only shaken the faith of the people in system but also in administration and security agencies.
Bomb blast is definitely a shame for all of us. Recent blast has shown lackadaisical attitude of Delhi security agencies who not only failed to prevent this attack but a small blast earlier.
Now, after the blast, search is on, first HUJI and then IM claimed responsibility for the blast. NIA is investigating and collecting the proof. We all hope that they will succeed in their efforts.
Meanwhile, nobody is considering the fact that the mail received by a news channel (sent by HUJI) claims that it is in support of Afzal Guru and the next target will be the Supreme Court. Now, it is the point of conflict, as the date of Afzal's hanging is not yet finalized. Mercy petitions from many civil rights groups are pouring in seeking mercy for Afzal. The hanging of Rajiv Gandhi Killers has already been stayed after the Tamil Nadu assembly passed a resolution. Everyone knows that blasts cannot change the decision of court instead it will increase the public anger, which will go against the Afzal. So it doesn't seem true.
Now, on the other hand, there may be various other reasons. After a long time India and Pakistan resumed the dialogue process, so it may be the handiwork of those who don't want the peace between the neighbours. They hope that process should get derailed.
Second, the situation in Kashmir is improving; interlocutors are on job and have declared to come out with recommendations in October; home ministry is deliberating over the issue of revocation of AFSPA; civil society and political activists are busy in working out plans to curtail the human rights violations in Kashmir. Blasts under these circumstances are pointing fingers towards those who are against humanity and peace.
Third, the crises within the Congress government are too obvious to ignore. The scam after scam is unveiled. The anti-corruption movement led by Anna Hazare seems more a campaign based on marketing and advertisement than to eradicate the corruption. There are several who may get benefited through the barbaric acts.
Whatever the reason may be, the government is responsible for the security of its citizens. It is not important that the government will tomorrow claims to have solved the case by arresting ‘terrorists’ but what they are doing to prevent these blasts.
We, the common people, believe in humanity, peace and transparency and we condemn the blast, we offer condolences to those who have lost their lives in these blasts victims and offer our solidarity to the families who have suffered in these blasts. We demand a speedy but transparent investigation to nab these terrorists.
