Everyday I meet lot of people during my daily routine and from the angle of a common man I experienced that the people who belongs from lower living class status (rickshawala, autowala, sabjiwala, scooter mechanic etc) are mostly from dalit communities who are weaker than others yet. Government has already launched lot of schemes including reservation, NGOs are working among them but if we see the ground reality,it has not changed as it should be. We get very less in compare to our efforts. We may see their social isolation in our homes even in todays scenario, we may see "honour killings", we may see them doing a less earning and less respectful job, we may see them as servants and at many other places.
Though we have a reason to proud that there are a lot in bureaucracy,we have seen dalit President and CJI but still the root position has not changed very much.
From my side,I would like to give emphasis on Education. We all know about primary schools of India where most of the poor children (mostly from dalit families ) go to learn, but what you expect about their future after passing out from schools? Can you think that how many of them dream to become a successful professional? Infact, most of them return to their paternal small scale business, they become again rickshawala, labour and similar type of professionals. Is it their fault? And if it will continue, the living standard will not be upgraded for them. Is it their fault? Are they posseses less talent? No, the primary reason is quality education which we are still unable to deliver at primary schools. A middle class family wants to get enrolled their child in a convent school rather than a primary school. Why this difference occurs at the point of quality while government is providing almost best aid for those schools?
I think the quality education with good learning environment, professionalism and motivation will be the best tools through which we can change the lives of weaker and downtrodden communities. They have equal rights and if they get a chance to dream, they can achieve it through their effort and whenevr they will achieve a good level, their coming generation will automatically become upgraded and will enjoy the equality among society.
Moreover we should be aware at our own level around us to give them as much knowledge, techniques and tools on various issues. We may work on issues of sanitation and hygiene among them. Unemployment is also a big problem for them.
Another issue is Understanding about the government schemes for their welfare because most of them doesn't know about the welfare schemes and middlemen always get benefit of their innocense.Infact they are victim of illiteracy and poverty which force them to adopt some wrong paths for getting quick benefits. We have to be there to provide the knowledge and process of schemes, to aware them about how can they get benefit by their own efforts. They have to know that it is not the blessings of middlemen because of which they are getting benefit but it is their right to get the benefits and it is to convert their efforts in to fruitful results so that their family may live in good standards and its overall effect one can see in country's development.
