Stories of life fly beyond borders…..

By Ravi Nitesh11:57 PM
It was the second Indiblogger meet that I attended. Like the first, it was an experience of fun and joy, an opportunity for new friendships and for learning about and from each other. But this time, there was something more, much more actually. This time, Indiblogger had tied up with Zindagi, a channel that is bringing stories from Pakistan for Indian viewers.

In this meet, I experienced so many things - from arts to science, from politics to society, from humour to reality, everything.

While I myself was very happy and enthusiastic, I was even happier to see that I was not the only one. The enthusiasm of people was amazing. They were desperate to show their desire for peace and friendship with Pakistan. I witnessed the beautiful painted face depicting the national flags of both countries. To me, the face was painted in the colours of peace, hope and friendship. Also, this person not just showed his desire but through his painted face, he tried to connect all for this. He tried to make everyone realize how beautiful peace and friendship looks.

During the Delhi-Mumbai debate, minds were exercised and the responses were awesome. The logic of ‘Dilli ki Sardi’ made everyone cheerful even in the extremely hot weather of Delhi. The logic that how not only delhites but even mumbaikars loves Delhi opened new horizons to think about love, to think about connections between cities we live in and this bond of emotions only help us in becoming more humane, more loving.

The well organized and coordinated meet was obviously an identity of Indiblogger team.  Nihal, Karthik and other team members did their best to provide infotainment to bloggers. It was also the team spirit of organizers that everything went so well and every team member of this task must be congratulated.

It was a real use of ICT (Information communication Technology) that Delhi and Mumbai bloggers got connected through video conferencing and even Sultana ji from Pakistan also got connected. This connection of providing an opportunity to communicate with each other was not only a real use of scientific advancement but also worked on hearts of hundreds who witnessed in living the real objective of ‘The World is my family’.

One could see the excitement of people to talk with guests from Pakistan (Imran ji and Sultana ji). I realized that every eye was filled with excitement, with emotion and with passion. ‘Wahi Shaam hai Wahi Savera….Aisa ye des hai mera, jaisa desh hai tera..” became the most emotional point when Imran sung it from heart and made all of us so emotional. With his song, he made a contact with Indian hearts. It was not his personal connection, rather it became a voice of people of Pakistan when he talked about similar culture, similar emotions.

The interaction of ZEEL team from Mumbai was really nice to elaborate how Zindagi came to India. People got to know the objective of Zindagi and the trailers of these serials touched every heart with their stories and act.

This meet, atleast for me, was not a meet with the people whom I met for the first time, rather it was like a meet with our family members. It was a meet that made us realize that not only different people who live in Delhi, but also people who live in Mumbai or in any city, and also of people who live in Pakistan, have similar lives. We all have similar kind of stories that make us happy or sad, that have us weep or smile. This similarity connects us in a bond of humanity, in a bond of love. This is the bond to connect the hearts of people, with the very identity of being human, with the motive of “the World is my family”.
