Opinion - Young leaders

Young politicians in Parliament are welcome but let us note that most of them came from renowned political families or business classes. While they may have the capability we wonder how not a single person with a humble background with no trappings of affluence or business background could not get elected. We can call ourselves a true democracy only when an ordinary citizen — who walked or cycled his way to the school, stood in queues like everyone else, who travelled in ordinary class — becomes a leader. That will represent real India.
